In November we will be operating two boat trips in a partnership with Causeway Lass and ourselves at Causeway Coast and Glens Heritage Trust. The trips will set off from the Cranagh Marina just outside Coleraine on the Portstewart Road where we will sail down the Bann Estuary to the mouth of the river and returning to the Cranagh Marina 3.5 hours later.
I will act as the guide for the bird life and natural habitats of the estuary which is my ‘local patch’ where I have sighted 117 species of bird so far this year!
We will set anchor to give people an opportunity to look across the mudflats at the array of wildfowl and waders.
There will be two trips which will cover around sunrise 07.30-11.00 and then also a sunset trip covering 13.30-17.00
We ran a very successful trip last year where we spotted over 45 species and the weather was fantastic, so fingers crossed for some of the same.
