As part of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council’s Holocaust Memorial Day programme 2018, the ‘Remembering the Holocaust’ exhibition at Ballymoney Museum invites you to remember and explore the history and legacy of the Holocaust, through the collections of Conflict Textiles, Millisle Farm and Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council.
This new display by Council’s Museum Services presents an array of objects which offer important insights into the narratives of the Holocaust during World War II and beyond. Featured in the exhibition are items from Millisle Farm in Co. Down, a site of Jewish Refugee resettlement from 1938 to 1948, and original textile artworks, memorabilia, photos and books from the international Conflict Textiles collection. Please find the exhibition flyer attached with more information.
On Thursday 25th January at 7pm, Ballymoney Museum will also be hosting a book launch to celebrate the publication of Anne: An imagining of the life of Anne Frank by Marjorie Agosín, illustrated by Francisca Yáñez. This free event is open to all and will include a book reading, poem recitation, refreshments and more; alongside special guests Lesley and Robert Gray publishers and textile artist Heidi Drahota. An invitation to this event is attached.
