I think the parish church at Billy is open next Saturday and Sunday. It is well worth a visit because of its antiquity and beautiful interior.
Check out the amazing stained glass windows by Micheal Healy.
Michael Healy (1873-1941) was a stained glass artist born in Dublin and was educated at the Dublin Metropolitan School of Art. He attempted to move to London to earn a living by working as a book illustrator.
In 1899, Healy began art school in the R. Istituto di Belle Arte in Florence. He then moved back to Ireland in 1901 to begin experimenting with oils in his spare time and teaching in the Dominican College in Kildare to make a living.
