This 2 day course will give you the knowledge and skills needed to identify and harvest edible, medicinal and other useful plants. You will visit different sites to collect some delicious plants to accompany your wild feast in the great outdoors.
Meeting point: St Patricks Church car park, Glendun Road, Cushendun
Cost: £20 per person for the two days or £10 for one day

M/s Lo was a social worker and former chairperson of the Northern Ireland Chinese Welfare Association. She moved from her native Hong Kong to Northern Ireland in 1974 after meeting Belfast Telegraph journalist David Watson. Her early years in this country were spent working for the BBC and Royal Ulster Constabulary as an interpreter. In 1978, she started an English evening class for Chinese people in Northern Ireland. She was awarded an MBE in 1999 for Services to Ethnic Minorities. M/s Lo , a member of the Alliance Party and a politician here in Northern Ireland, was an MLA for Belfast South ( 2007 to 2016), and has been the party's president since 2016.
BIG CONSERVATION TASK - BEACH CLEAN UP

We will be cleaning the local beach and harbour area in collaboration with Ulster Wildlife, Glenarm Wildlife Group and Keep NI Beautiful.
Meet at the main car park at Glenarm Strand, postcode BT44 0AB.
Come along and meet new people, improve your CV, and reconnect with the great outdoors.
Minimum age of 16 years.
Gloves and litter pickers will be provided.
Bring warm clothing (waterproofs if necessary). Walking boots/sturdy shoes.
